Amount of damage
The base fee follows the assessed loss – a small dent involves less work than a complex structural damage.

The honest answer: after a no-fault accident, usually nothing – at least not for you. Still, it is worth understanding how the cost is measured and which form of report suits your case.
After a no-fault accident the appraiser's costs are part of the loss. They are borne by the at-fault party's liability insurer. As the injured party you normally incur no costs of your own – you pay nothing up front.
The level of the fee is usually based on the amount of the damage, plus flat rates for photos, travel and administration. This is established in the field and generally recognised by the courts.

EVs, classic cars or commercial vehicles require special checks, for example of the high-voltage system or the frame.
Full report, short report or repair estimate differ in effort – and therefore in cost.
The full report documents the extent of the damage, the repair method, replacement and residual value, diminished value and loss of use. It is the basis for the complete settlement of a liability claim.
The short report is enough for manageable damage, where essentially only the repair cost needs to be evidenced. The workshop's repair estimate is not a damage report but an offer – for genuine minor damage it is sufficient, otherwise not.
Which form your case needs, we will tell you beforehand. If a cheaper short report is enough, we will not recommend a full one.

A quick call clarifies which form of report your case needs and who bears the cost – free and without obligation.
