Before you take on a leased vehicle – new from the dealer or from another lessee – we record the exact starting condition. That is your evidence for a fair return at the end.
When a leased vehicle is returned, its condition is compared against the starting condition documented at the beginning of the contract – or, where none exists, frequently against the condition of a new car. Minor paint damage, stone chips or signs of use that were already there at takeover can then easily be charged to you as return damage without justification.
With a neutral condition assessment carried out at takeover – including complete photographic documentation of paint, wheels, interior and mileage – you create an objective basis of evidence. That applies both when you start a lease on a new vehicle and when you take over a running contract from another lessee.
